BiermanHenket

An   online   architectural   marvel   for   architectural   firm   BiermanHenket

A website that speaks visually. An online space where the work and versatility of the architects are given room to shine.

Did we consider the architectural qualities by which a building is assessed? Certainly! The new website is a place that, just like a beautiful building, fosters new connections. Open, easily accessible, and welcoming. A solid foundation provides the stability expected from a website that features many visual displays.

Beautiful   work   in   pictures

The firm has designed and continues to design many museums: from the extension for the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen (1988-1991), the Museumkwartier in 's Hertogenbosch (2005-2013), the Anne Frank House (2018) to the Museum Van Bommel Van Dam in Venlo (present).
To showcase this beautiful work, we have chosen the perfect synergy between image and text: we display the project images in full size, and the accompanying texts are – in many cases – secondary to the striking image.

Old   vs.   new

The expertise of the firm - in restoration, interior design, integral technology, BIM, and sustainability - is specifically highlighted. Projects can also be filtered by typology, task, and location. Architecture is a field of process, and the firm wants to show this from start to finish. “Now, besides the new, there is also attention to the old situation, so we can better illustrate how much we adjust to a building or location. Sometimes we design as closely as possible to the original design,” architect Janneke Bierman explains. “But we also show how we radically renew a space, as in the case of the Administration Room in the Beurs van Berlage. Because although this room is now taken for granted, we have significantly changed this interior with colored wall coverings and new curtains, stripping it of suspended ceilings and other visible installations. A huge difference.”
