Municipality of Maasdriel
Maasdriel is a rural municipality in the Zuid-Bommelerwaard with around 24,000 inhabitants. Some words that describe Maasdriel well are: village, affordable, recreation, green, safety, togetherness, agriculture, nurseries, and greenhouse horticulture.
For the branding of the Municipality of Maasdriel, we focused on a number of key words: young, colorful, fresh, and new. With the development of the logo and the corporate identity, we aimed to put Maasdriel on the map. The blue represents the rivers, the green stands for agriculture and horticultural areas and nature reserves, and the orange and red represent construction. The logo was described by Brabants Dagblad in an article about municipal logos as “powerful in simplicity and recognizable” and ended up in the top 3.
